Driving Directions
Located on the Vatnsnes Peninsula in North West Iceland, Syðri-Þverá is easily reached from both Reykjavík and Akureyri.
From Akureyri
Follow the 1 Road to Reykjavík until you come to the 711 Road. Follow it. You’ll reach lake Vesturhópsvatn. Keep going straight for 5 minutes more. When the road curves to the right you’ll see the sign for Syðri-Þverá.
